What is SMM2H?

The Sarawak Malaysia My Second Home (SMM2H) programme is a government initiative that allows foreigners to reside in Sarawak on a long-term basis. Established in 2007, this programme offers a 10-year renewable social visit pass with multiple entry privileges. Unlike the peninsula Malaysia MM2H programme, SMM2H is independently managed by the Sarawak state government, offering unique benefits and requirements tailored to the region's distinctive culture and lifestyle.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the SMM2H programme, applicants must meet specific age, nationality, and financial requirements.

Age Requirement

Minimum 30 years old
No maximum age limit
30-39: Children must study in Sarawak

Nationality

Countries with diplomatic relations
Israel & North Korea excluded
Good conduct certificate required

Financial Proof

Fixed Deposit: RM500,000
Income: RM10,000/month
Or savings: RM100,000
